When I had to get a tooth pulled and had to be put under with anesthesia, I tried to stay up instead of counting backwards. Well...I felt how fast that anesthesia passed through my body and it was very painful. I'll never do that again, but I then realized how fast things go through your blood stream.
With that said, I know eating the right foods will start the benefits of good nutrients go throughout my body. So today for lunch I am having a sandwich. I have been told my sandwiches are just like the deli makes them.
The Bread: Zomick's rye bread seeded. Wheat flour, filtered water, Rye flour, Caraway seeds, salt, soybean oil & yeast. The caraway seed adds a delightful explosion of excitement with every chew. I purchased from the Key Food on 7th Ave. so you don't have to go to Lawrence, New York to get it.
The Cheese: Very hard to find even in your local gourmet stores but the Key Food on 7th Ave in Park Slope Brooklyn carries the Lorraine Swiss cheese. Very low in salt and if your the one who loves the stink in swiss, this is the stink you will crave for. Last year I could not find anywhere in the city. I went to NYC & Brooklyn. Finally I went to this Key Food and they explained to me that the factory had burnt down but is now back in full production. Since then this supermarket is the place I travel to for this cheese.
The Filling: Rare roast beef, salami, romaine, tomato on the vine, white onion and mustard.
By the time I finish this blog, my sandwich will be finished. Delicious!
Bon Apetite!
